INNOVATIVE MODEL - SECOND PHASE

Image
The topic “Real Numbers” was selected from the mathematics curriculum to create an innovative and visual learning aid. A tree model was planned to show how different sets of numbers — Natural, Whole, Integers, Rational, and Irrational — are connected under Real Numbers. Materials such as chart paper, cardboard, coloured paper, sketch pens, glue, and scissors were collected. The shape of a tree was drawn, cut, and coloured attractively. Each branch was labelled with the type of number and examples were added for clarity. The tree was then fixed on a cardboard base labelled “Real Numbers.” Decorations and LED lights were used to make it appealing. Finally, the model was presented in class to explain the classification of numbers, helping students visualize and understand the concept easily.

CONCENTIZATION PROGRAM  INTRODUCTION As part of the B.Ed. curriculum, a conscientization programme was conducted during the first phase of teaching practice on 08-10-2025 to create awareness among students on socially relevant issues. Conscientization is a process that helps learners develop a deeper understanding of the social realities that influence their lives. It encourages critical thinking, empathy, and social responsibility, enabling students to recognize their role in building a better society. The topic selected for this programme was “Awareness of Social Services in Schools”, focusing on NSS, JRC, Scouts, and Guides. These organizations play a vital role in developing leadership qualities, discipline, social commitment, and a spirit of service among students. However, many students are unaware of their objectives and the opportunities they provide for personal and social development. The programme was conducted for Class 9A with our team consisting of myself, Noel,...

OPTIONAL REFLECTION ( 08/11/25)

Image
WEEKEND REFLECTION - OPTIONAL REFLECTION  After completing the first three days of the second phase of our teaching practice, we had an optional reflection session from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. It was a valuable opportunity for all of us to pause and think about our teaching experiences so far. During the session, each student shared their thoughts and reflections. Some of us had faced changes such as new class divisions, assignments to higher classes like the 9th standard, or new mentor teachers. Initially, these changes brought a few challenges, but everyone expressed how they gradually adapted and felt more confident in their roles. Listening to others’ experiences helped me gain new insights into classroom management and teaching strategies. Overall, the session created a supportive atmosphere where we learned from one another and felt motivated to continue improving throughout the remaining days of our practice.
