JINGLE MINGLE : CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION 🎄🎅🎂 On December 20th, Baselios Marthoma Training College came alive with festive cheer as students and staff enthusiastically gathered to celebrate Christmas. The celebration commenced with an inspiring Christmas message delivered by Fr. Philip, setting a thoughtful tone for the event. The program was further elevated by the presence of Fr. Jacob, College Principal Riju John, and Program Secretary Sheeja Teacher, whose contributions added warmth and significance to the occasion. A range of engaging activities enriched the celebration, including carol singing, crib competitions, and cultural performances that captured the essence of the festive season. NATIONAL DAY AGAINST VIOLENCE TOWARDS WOMEN OBSERVED  Baselios Marthoma Mathews  II College of Teacher Education Kottarakkara organized an event on November 25th in observance of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. The program, held in the college's general hall, was introduced by the College Chairperson, Alfy George. It featured a documentary screening and a presentation by Neethu Raj from the Malayalam Department, who shared insights into the historical struggles faced by women over the years. Additionally, a video showcasing students' messages condemning violence against women was also presented during the event.

CINEMA PARADISE 🎥🎦🍿 The Film Club inauguration was held on 22nd November 2024, offering an opportunity to experience the joy of cinema with open minds and free spirits. Organized collaboratively by the Film Club members and the college union, the event was coordinated by Noel M. Shibu and Jinda. The program commenced with a warm welcome speech by Jinda, setting an enthusiastic tone for the day. The inauguration was led by Arun Sir, who also delivered the presidential address, sharing insights about the transformative power of films. Fr. Sabu Raju, the UUC, gave a heartfelt felicitation, appreciating the initiative, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Krishnaja, the magazine editor. SOCIALLY USEFUL PRODUCTIVE WORK EXPERIENCE On November 19, a community-based practical program on Socially Useful Productive Work Experience (SUPW) was organized at the college general hall from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Principal Riju John inaugurated the program, emphasizing the importance of SUPW. He also introduced the resource person, Mohanlal Sir, a retired teacher with numerous years of experience in the field of work experience. The students were divided into four groups and engaged in various activities, including: Soap preparation, lotion preparation, File preparation and bag preparation. These activities aimed to provide students with hands-on experience in socially useful productive work, promoting teamwork, creativity, and social responsibility.

LEADERSHIP TRAINING WORKSHOP   CAPACITY BUILDING💪 As part of the B.Ed curriculum, a workshop on EDU01 was conducted on 16th November 2024 at 9:30 AM in the general hall. The resource person for the day was R. Kiran Bodhi, whose insightful guidance made the session both enriching and engaging. The workshop began at 9:30 AM and continued until 4 PM. The morning session focused on the topic of leadership, with Kiran Bodhi Sir delivering an interactive presentation through a PowerPoint slideshow. This session emphasized the qualities of effective leadership, particularly in the teaching profession. PHYSICAL SCIENCE DEPARTMENT ASSOCIATION DAY   TACHYON💫 The Physical Science department celebrated its association day on 12th November 2024 at 2 PM in the general hall. The event began with a prayer, setting a serene tone, followed by a warm welcome speech delivered by Jeeja. Dr. Shamna Rani, faculty of the Physical Science department, presided over the event. Our principal, Riju John, unveiled the association's logo and name, "TACHYON," symbolizing the fast-paced and dynamic nature of the department. The program featured a variety of cultural performances, including lively dance and music acts, which energized the atmosphere.
