TEACHING PRACTICE π©π»π« : PHASE I - WEEK 6 π(08 SEPTEMBER 2025 -12 SEPTEMBER 2025)
DAY 25
On the 25th day of our teaching practice, I reached the school before 9:30 AM. It was the first walking day after the vacation and the School environment was filled with liveliness and enthusiasm. As both students and teachers returned after the festival break. I had a class scheduled in eighth B during the fourth period from 11:40 AM to 12:20 PM considering it was the first day after the holidays I decided not to begin with a new lesson. Instead I created an informal learning space restaurants could freely share their own experiences. The students were very eager to narrate their celebrations, including how they decorated their homes. Participated in cultural programs, bad festive dishes and enjoy time with their family and friends. During the session. The mental teacher visited the class and distributed the mark sheets of the Onam examination. This became a moment of reflection for the students as they compare their performance with their reference and celebrations after lunch, I took some time to prepare for my upcoming lessons, so I did not teach a formal topic today. I felt that I was meaningful as it help us to settle down after the vacation and established their focus on activities.
DAY 26
Today, 9 September 2025, was the 26th day of teaching practice. I reach the school before 9:30 AM, which gave me enough time to get prepared for my lessons. I went through the teaching materials for the day and planned the floor of the flowers so that I could explain the concept clearly this preparation helped me feel confident and organised for the sessions ahead. My first class was during the fourth period in 8 B from 11:40 am to 12:10 pm.I began a new chapter solutions of equations and introduce the students to concept of solving equations through addition and subtraction at start. Some students seemed unsure, but as I worked through examples step-by-step, the response is improved. If few students actively participated by answering questions which created a positive classroom atmosphere, I felt that breaking down the concept slowly helped them understand better after the session. I had my lunch and took a short break to recharge before the afternoon class in the sixth period from 11:35 PM to 210. I had another opportunity to encase with the students this time. I focused on practising problems so that they could apply what they had learnt. I noticed that while many students were able to solve the problems confidently, if you still needed extra guidance, I try to clarify the doubts individually and encourage them to attempt similar questions on their own. It was satisfied to see their gradually improvement and it gave me inside into where I need to give more focus in the next lesson. After completing the teaching, I spend some time preparing for my upcoming classes. I made notes for my next class.
DAY 27
Today, 10th, the September 2025 was the 27th day of our teaching practice. I reached the school before 9:30 AM as usual. After signing the attendance register. I have prepared my teaching materials for the day and revised my lesson plan. I had class during the second period in eighth B where I taught a concept of multiplication and division from the chapter solutions of equations. Before starting, I briefly recap the previous concept, trench, continuity and butter. Understanding the students responded activity to my questions and their participation reflected their grasp of the earlier topics. While teaching, I made Yusuf simple examples to explain how multiplication division works in equations. I also had class during fourth period. My usual period, eighth B I used to solve problems related to the previously.concept, multiplication and division after the class. I joined other teachers for lunch at noon. After that I reviewed my notes and made necessary adjustments to ensure that the next class would also be well structured and effective.
DAY 28
Today, 11 September 2025, Thursday mark the 28th day of our teaching practice. My scheduled class was during the fourth period. As usual. Since an observation by our optional teacher was planned for today. I took special care to prepare early in advance from morning onwards. I devoted time to revising the content, organising my plan and selecting appropriate teaching aids that would make the class more effective. I also reflected the areas where I could improve based on my previous experiences, especially since my last class did not go as smoothly as I expected. This preparation helped me feel more confident before entering the classroom during the fourth period. Our teacher came in for observation and I began my lesson. I took the topic different kinds of change from the chapter solutions of equations. The students were very active and interactive responding promptly to the questions. I post I was able to maintain good classroom management, ensuring that all students are remind engaged throughout the session. The activities and explanations worked well and the offer on the class was smooth at the end of the class. I received positive feedback from the teacher which gave me a sense of relief and satisfaction, especially after the slide disappointment of my previous session, there was also an observation scheduled for the physical science student teachers after the observation had known we had lunch since I didn’t have any further classes scheduled for the day. I utilised the remaining time to prepare for my upcoming lessons. Today was a fruitful and motivating Day. The positive response from both students and my teacher encouraged me to continue refining my teaching methods and to approach the coming dates with great enthusiasm and confidence.
DAY 29
Today, 12 September 2025, Friday was the 29th day of our teaching practice. We arrived at school before 9:30 AM and prepare for the class. My scheduled session was during the fourth period for 11:40 AM to 12:20 PM with class eighth B for today’s lesson and I continued with the balance topic from yesterday‘s class and introduced problems based on different kinds of change. From the chapter solutions of equations, the students were quite attractive and actively followed explanations. There was a sports selection taking place in the school, so a few students had to leave the class. The overall class atmosphere reminded positive and I was able to complete the plan portion effectively after finishing my class, I had no more classes scheduled for the day following the lunch. Break are utilise the free time to review my notes and prepare materials for the next two days lesson. I was also PTM meeting arranged after examinations. Parents visit at School to discuss their child’s progress and sign the mark reports this interaction creator space for both teachers and students improve their academic growth.
WEEKEND REFLECTION 5- 13 SEPTEMBER 2025
On Saturday, September 13, 2025. We had the option to engage in an optional reflection session at the college from 12:15 PM to 11:15 PM conducted under the guidance of our class tutor. The session provided us with a meaningful platform to post and look back at the experiences and progresses we had made the week during our own school internship. We began by discussing a classroom experiences how our lesson spent and the challenges we faced in managing classes and keeping students engaged a major part of the discussion focused on the autumn examination results where we reviewed the student course and talked about their overall performance. This helps us understand how effective or teaching methods where and what changes we could make to improve learning outcomes. Some of us also share our experiences starting new chapters after the on vacation and how we tried to make our classes more interesting. We reflected on the option observation sessions to which gave us useful ideas for improving lesson delivery and classroom management. We took time to check the progress of our lesson plan, completion and identified areas that needed improvement such as adding better activities and clearer objectives.
