TEACHING PRACTICE 👩🏻‍🏫 : PHASE I - WEEK 5 📚(11 AUGUST 2025 -16 AUGUST 2025)

 DAY 20

Today, 11 August 2025, Monday was the 20th day of teaching practice. I reached the school before 9:30 AM. There was an observation scheduled for my peers and a class with eighth A during the fourth period where I introduced the concept of sum of interior angles of a polygon during the fifth period. I continued with the Saint Tropic and guided the students and solving problems related to the concept of some of angles of polygon. There were no are the major events during the day during my free time and spent time preparing for my upcoming class by reviewing teaching aid. SN plants and PowerPoint slide. Rest of the day went smoothly and the utilised the time productively. I left the school at around 3:30 PM. Feeling satisfied with the days work and confident about the progress, I was making in my teaching practice.

DAY 21

Today, 12 August 2025 was the 21st day of our teaching practice. We reached the school before 9:30 AM. Mark attendance and prepare for the days activities. I have two classes today both with AB during the fourth period. I saw the concept of triangle of a polygon, I began the class by connecting the concept to their previous knowledge of interior angles. To make the concept more engaging. I used a PPT presentation to shall explain how an exterior angle is formed. When a side of polygon extended outward. After explanation. I gave them a few follow-up activities to force the topic and most of the actively participated in the seventh period. I continued with the next part of the lesson, the sum of Outer angle of a polygon. I guided the students for a few examples and demonstrate that with the help of PPT, how the sum of all out angles in any polygon is always 360°. The students found this fact interesting and tried solving the related problems on their own. Their active participation made the session more interactive after the classes I spend time preparing for the upcoming lessons and completed other school duties. Since I had only two classes today, it was a productive and satisfying day. Students shot enthusiasm and clear understanding of the mathematical concept taught.

DAY 22

Today, 13 August 2025, August 22 day of our teaching practice. We arrived at school before 9:30 AM and sign attendance register and prepare for the day activities at two classes with 8B1 during the fourth period and another during the seventh period in the first session. I introduced the concept of triangles of a polygon using different polygon and difference between triangles and angles. In a second session. I focused on teaching the concept of some of our triangles, ensuring that the students could apply the concepts effectively In addition to teaching, there was a special meeting organised to congratulate the students who secured high marks in the SSLC examination of the previous year. As part of this program, we took responsibility to the celebration of student achievements, the program extended longer than expected, so we left School a little later than usual.

DAY 23

Today, 14 August 2025, mark the 23rd day of teaching practice, the day began at 9:30 AM with signing attendance. Had a class in eighth B. My regular class from 11:40 AM to 12:20 PM. Then I assisted with other School activities. I also provided learning support to the students who required extra guidance, helping them clarified doubts and strengthen their act, standing of previously.concepts during my free hours, I focused on preparing teaching aids for upcoming lessons, ensuring that I would be ready to deliver effective and encouraging classes in the following days. Today was a productive day of supported preparation, emphasising the importance of contribution to school operations, be classroom teaching and staying ready for future academic sessions.

DAY 24

Today, 16 August 2025, March 24 day of our teaching practice, the day begun with signing the attendance register. Since I did not have any new potion to cover. I used to teach art to discuss model questions with students helping them prepare effectively for the upcoming on examination as it was a Saturday. Only high school session had classes and the number of students was comparatively fewer during the remaining three hours are focused on preparing teaching essentials for my upcoming lessons, ensuring that I would be ready to deliver, encouraging and well organised classes in the following week.

WEEKEND REFLECTION 4- 18 AUGUST 2025

On Monday, August 18, 2025 and optional reflection session was held to discuss our ongoing School experiences during the session. We talked about our progress and completing the syllabus and preparing for the upcoming Onam examinations, many of us share that the lessons were being completed on time and the revision activity had already been conducted in classes. We also reflect on Independence Day Day celebrations at the school. The session provided a meaningful opportunities to share experiences, exchange feedback and recognise School events and activities contribute to students holistic learning.
