The Mystery of the Hidden Treasure – A Mathematics Adventure”:-Video Scripting πΉπ(11 March 2025)
As part of our B.Ed. curriculum, we were given an exciting opportunity to integrate creativity with academics by scripting and shooting a video based on a mathematics topic. The task not only encouraged us to explore the subject in a fun and engaging way, but also helped us develop teamwork, planning, and presentation skills.πΉπ
Our class was divided into three groups. My team included Akhila , Joel, Aparna, Sherin Jojy, and me. After much discussion, we chose the topic “Mathematics through Riddles and Puzzles” to make the learning experience more intriguing and interactive.
We decided to present our concept through a treasure hunt video titled:“The Mystery of the Hidden Treasure – A Mathematics Adventure”.
The idea was to design a storyline where each puzzle or riddle solved by the characters would lead them closer to the hidden treasure. Every challenge incorporated basic mathematical concepts like number patterns, logical reasoning, simple arithmetic, and shapes. These were presented in the form of riddles, clues, or symbols that the characters had to decode.
We started by scripting the scenes, assigning roles, and designing the puzzles. Each member contributed ideas and helped in the shooting process. We chose suitable locations, created props, and rehearsed the dialogues to make it engaging.
Through this activity, we realized how mathematics can be made fun and meaningful through games and stories. The treasure hunt format turned an academic topic into an adventure that not only tested our mathematical thinking but also our creativity and collaboration.This project was a wonderful learning experience and a reminder that mathematics is not just about numbers, but about thinking, solving, and discovering.
