NATIONAL DAY AGAINST VIOLENCE TOWARDS WOMEN OBSERVED  Baselios Marthoma Mathews  II College of Teacher Education Kottarakkara organized an event on November 25th in observance of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. The program, held in the college's general hall, was introduced by the College Chairperson, Alfy George. It featured a documentary screening and a presentation by Neethu Raj from the Malayalam Department, who shared insights into the historical struggles faced by women over the years. Additionally, a video showcasing students' messages condemning violence against women was also presented during the event.

CINEMA PARADISE 🎥🎦🍿 The Film Club inauguration was held on 22nd November 2024, offering an opportunity to experience the joy of cinema with open minds and free spirits. Organized collaboratively by the Film Club members and the college union, the event was coordinated by Noel M. Shibu and Jinda. The program commenced with a warm welcome speech by Jinda, setting an enthusiastic tone for the day. The inauguration was led by Arun Sir, who also delivered the presidential address, sharing insights about the transformative power of films. Fr. Sabu Raju, the UUC, gave a heartfelt felicitation, appreciating the initiative, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Krishnaja, the magazine editor. SOCIALLY USEFUL PRODUCTIVE WORK EXPERIENCE On November 19, a community-based practical program on Socially Useful Productive Work Experience (SUPW) was organized at the college general hall from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Principal Riju John inaugurated the program, emphasizing the importance of SUPW. He also introduced the resource person, Mohanlal Sir, a retired teacher with numerous years of experience in the field of work experience. The students were divided into four groups and engaged in various activities, including: Soap preparation, lotion preparation, File preparation and bag preparation. These activities aimed to provide students with hands-on experience in socially useful productive work, promoting teamwork, creativity, and social responsibility.

LEADERSHIP TRAINING WORKSHOP   CAPACITY BUILDING💪 As part of the B.Ed curriculum, a workshop on EDU01 was conducted on 16th November 2024 at 9:30 AM in the general hall. The resource person for the day was R. Kiran Bodhi, whose insightful guidance made the session both enriching and engaging. The workshop began at 9:30 AM and continued until 4 PM. The morning session focused on the topic of leadership, with Kiran Bodhi Sir delivering an interactive presentation through a PowerPoint slideshow. This session emphasized the qualities of effective leadership, particularly in the teaching profession. GAMES MEET   SMASH 2K24🏏🦗 As part of our B.Ed curriculum, a sports meet titled SMASH 2K24 was held on 9th November 2024. The day commenced with union members and team captains assembling to take on their respective responsibilities. The program began with an internal yoga session, setting a calm and focused tone for the activities ahead. From 10 AM to 1 PM, the games were in full swing, featuring exciting matches of cricket and football. Following the games, a practical yoga session was conducted, emphasizing the importance of physical and mental well-being. The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, celebrating the winners and runners-up for their outstanding performances. Our principal, along with Lal Sir from the Physical Education Department, extended their full support, ensuring the smooth execution of the event. The program concluded at 4 PM, leaving everyone energized and inspired by the spirit of sportsmanship and teamwork.

  MATHEMATICS DEPARTMENT ASSOCIATION DAY The Association Program by Mathematics department was held on 08th November 2024 at general hall from 2pm onwards.  The program commenced with a prayer and welcome address. Mrs. Vismaya Thomas delivered presidential address. The name and logo revealing were done by principal Riju John. The association name was " EQUAVISTA"  meaning  "all are equal ". After this there was several cultural programs by students.  After the inauguration, the members of the Mathematics department showcased their talents through a variety of performances, including dance, music, and skits. To ensure involvement from students of various departments, we organized fun games like "Odd or Even" and "Pyramid Making." The day was filled with excitement, joy, and unforgettable memories, creating an atmosphere of unity and celebration among all participants.
